I'm starting my 2010 posts with a look back. It's something I do quite a bit in the winter, when I'm stuck indoors, and the spring seems like it will never actually get here. I spend a lot of time looking over pictures of fish and trips from the past years. I was doing that today, and thought it would make a decent first post of the year.
The photos that follow are all from Athabasca this past August, and none are actually fish. Just pictures from the area. I hope you enjoy them.
And, Happy New Year.

I loved the non-fish pictures! One of the best parts about being outdoors is noticing the little delights all around us. Of course, seeing that mayfly brings on a strong sense of, 'must go fly fishing soon' but I consider that a good thing.
P.S. Love the boat tackle box, I haven't seen one like that before. Smart~
Hey, Wolfy, I really enjoyed the photos of your times outdoors. That is a beautiful area. The "Moose" caught me by surprise and gave me a tee hee! I agree with Rebecca, that is a great idea for a tackle box when you need to let lures dry out before putting them away.
Happy new year 2010 my friend !..wish you will get a great in 2010...mizlan malaysia snakehead hunter !
Hey Joe. Happy New Year. Even though most of our posts are about fishing, I too like to see the scenery. Try to throw some in my posts so I can share the scenic wonders of Northern California.

Rebecca - I'm pretty sure that's a #6 extended body hexagenia of some type.
Awesome pictures!
"Hey Rocky, guess what I am now?"

Stumbled across your blog...happy to see that you're using your writing skills.
Happy New Year to you and yours.
Those pictures were awesome; probably liked the mayfly the most. Nice shooting.
